A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the exact same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get emails from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Web Hosting

You’ll be able to configure a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a cloud web hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet very easy to work with, and it will enable you to activate various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will find a tiny "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will deactivate it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have another one with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with a few clicks if you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with us. The hosting account will be administered through our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses using any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox, you will need to click the button with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be done in the same manner and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a particular domain, you’ll receive a notification. The same is valid if the mailbox that you would like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or modify anything automatically.
